Facial aesthetic treatments, also known as facial rejuvenation treatments, offer a non-surgical approach as a way of reducing the signs of ageing on the face. Wrinkle reduction injections use a natural substance called Botulinum Toxin-A to relax specific muscles underneath the skin’s surface, with the result of reducing the appearance of wrinkles on the skin’s surface.
This treatment is used for two different approaches.
Some patients use it as a preventative method to stop the lines from appearing. Others use it to soften the lines once they have appeared.
Wrinkles are commonly present as frown lines between the eyes, forehead lines and crow’s feet.
Results are always tailored to what the patients want to achieve. This treatment is not designed to totally change your facial appearance, just soften and rejuvenate the desired areas. The muscles are simply relaxed, so you can still frown, smile, or look surprised without the wrinkles and creases between your brows.
Dermal filler injections offer a safe and natural cosmetic treatment that restores volume and fullness to specific areas of the face, resulting in a refreshed and revitalised look.
From the age of 30 the human body loses its collagen tissue, resulting in volume loss, but from the age of 45 onwards the bony structure of our face also reduces in size. The filler treatment is designed to give back the underlying support the skin needs to look youthful.
Ideal for deeper lines and wrinkles, dermal fillers work at a deep dermal level to delay the signs of ageing by ‘filling out’ and smoothing away wrinkles in troublesome areas that include nose-to-mouth grooves, forehead lines, frown furrows, lipstick lines and crow’s feet.
