Qualified as a Dentist from the University of Sheffield with the award for Outreach within community. Philip has worked in many dental settings. He started in a busy, award-winning multi-surgery practice in Sheffield and became an Honorary Clinical Dental Tutor for the University of Sheffield before helping to set up the dental aspect of a Medical Polyclinic in the Peak District. Philip has worked as a Speciality Dentist in Orthodontics at Blackpool Victoria Hospital where he was involved in the treatment of many complex malocclusions. Philip has a particular interest in Aesthetic Dentistry and Orthodontics. Philip has completed the Advanced Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry course in London with the world-renowned Dr Chris Orr. When developing his interests in aesthetics, he diversified his interests into Minimally Invasive Dentistry which includes composite bonding and orthodontics (braces). Philip completed his Diploma in orthodontics after his studies with Internationally renowned Professor Jonathan Sandler and Alison Murray.

Philip treats a mixture of general, cosmetic, and orthodontic patients within our practice. With the introduction of an Implantologist to our practice, Philip also helps treatment plan dental implant cases. On completion of postgraduate examinations, Philip is a Member of The Royal College of Surgeons of England. Philip has a friendly professional demeanour which helps patients feel comfortable and welcome at Oakland Family Dental Practice.

Louise is a highly skilled and experienced dentist who qualified from the University of Sheffield, where she was awarded the prestigious prize for General Dental Practice. She has been a valued member of the team at Oakland Family Dental Practice since 2014, building strong relationships with patients through her caring and professional approach.

With a special interest in endodontics and family dentistry, Louise is dedicated to delivering high-quality, comfortable care for patients of all ages. She is currently undertaking advanced postgraduate training in endodontics at the University of Chester, enabling her to provide a wider range of complex root canal treatments in-house—helping patients avoid the need for specialist referrals.

In addition to her dental expertise, Louise also offers facial aesthetic treatments, including wrinkle reduction and dermal fillers, helping patients feel confident in their smile and overall appearance.

Louise is passionate about patient care and continually strives to enhance the experience and services offered at the practice, making her an invaluable part of the team.

Qualified as a Dentist from the University of Newcastle. Mike brings a wealth of experience to our practice, having owned and operated his own successful dental practice for over 30 years. In joining our practice, we are excited to benefit from his extensive knowledge, steady hand, and commitment to high-quality dentistry. Mike also works within the emergency dental service, providing care to patients when they need it most.

Qualified as a dentist from the University of Sheffield. Simon has a very similar background to our principal dentist Philip. They have both completed their Advanced Aesthetic & Restorative training in London being mentored by the world renowned Dr Chris Orr. During that time, Simon developed an interest in Implant Dentistry. Simon has since completed extensive training in dental implantology, being taught by some of the most prominent professionals in this field. Simon has been awarded a Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Simon lectures around Europe on behalf of Straumann, who are the world-leading dental implant company. We have the pleasure of Simon undertaking dental implant clinics from our practice on Friday afternoons.

Qualified as a Dental Hygiene & Therapist from the University of Sheffield. Adele is a highly skilled member of our clinical team, allowing us to add an important dynamic to our patients’ care. From a hygiene perspective, Adele puts her extensive knowledge and skills towards helping to maintain the oral health of patients with dental implants and on patients who suffer from advanced gum disease, to stabilise their condition. From a Therapy perspective, Adele is extremely skilled in dealing with all aspects of Children’s Dentistry and adult Restorative dentistry. With a combination of her clinical skill and friendly personality, all our patients leave her clinic with a smile on their face.

Qualified as a Dental Hygiene & Therapist from the University of Liverpool. Charlotte is a great addition to our clinical team, allowing us to add more clinics to facilitate our patients’ needs. From a hygiene perspective, Charlotte helps patients to stabilise and maintain their oral health. From a therapy perspective, Charlotte deals with aspects of adult restorative dentistry and children’s dentistry. Charlotte’s friendly and bubbly approach to dentistry ensures patients leave her clinic with a smile on their face.

Qualified as an orthodontic therapist from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Halima has made an excellent addition to our orthodontic team, working alongside Dr Eccles to provide a wide range of treatments, including Invisalign and fixed braces. Halima has experience working within The Dental Hospital where she helped in the treatment of complex multi-disciplinary cases. Her vast knowledge and experience in orthodontics ensures patients finish their treatment with a beautiful smile.

Roseanna is our Lead Dental Nurse and IPC Lead. Roseanna has experienced a wide range of dentistry, which leads her perfectly to her Senior Dental Nurse role. Roseanna also runs her own dedicated Impression and Scanning Clinic, supporting accurate treatment planning and patient comfort. Her attention to detail, organisation, and commitment to best practice help ensure a smooth and safe experience for every patient.

Since qualifying, Rosie has taken a particular interest in orthodontic treatment, smile design and dental implant treatments. These fields of dentistry are complex and require a proactive, dedicated nurse to facilitate the treatments being provided. Our practice benefits greatly from Rosie’s dedicated approach to patient care. Rosie is a dual-qualified nurse in general dentistry and orthodontics

Brooke is our most recently qualified nurse and is very keen to progress in the dental profession. She is continuing to gain experience in all areas of our practice. We look forward to seeing how her career develops.

Louisa is our latest recruit and is a great addition to our team. It is clear at this early stage that Louisa’s caring nature and natural ability are perfectly suited to the dental health profession. Louisa is gaining experience in all areas of our practice, and we look forward to helping her complete her dental nursing qualification.

Jade qualified from the University of Manchester and brings a broad background in dentistry that supports her role in practice management. Her clinical experience and understanding of day-to-day workflows have given her a clear insight into how to run an efficient, well-organised practice.

As Practice Manager, Jade oversees the day-to-day running of Oakland Dental, overseeing clinic operations, staff coordination, and systems to ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently. Known for her strong leadership skills and commitment to high standards, Jade plays a key role in supporting the dental team and ensuring patients receive a consistently high-quality, well-managed service.

Jessie qualified as a dental nurse from T2000 Blackburn and later specialised in orthodontics, gaining her orthodontic nursing qualification from the University of Manchester. Her strong clinical background and in-depth understanding of orthodontic services have provided her with a solid foundation for practice management.

As Practice Manager, Jessie oversees the day-to-day running of Oakland Orthodontics, ensuring clinics operate efficiently, systems are well organised, and high standards of patient care are consistently maintained. Known for her excellent organisational skills and supportive leadership style, Jessie plays a key role in supporting both the clinical team and patients, helping the practice deliver a smooth, professional, and well-managed service.

Tina has extensive experience across both the clinical and administrative sides of dentistry, having worked in roles including dental nursing, care co-ordination, reception, and as a dental nursing tutor at a local college. This wide-ranging background has given her a thorough understanding of practice operations and patient management.

Now working as our Business Manager, Tina provides strategic and operational support to the practice, drawing on her many years of experience to guide systems and processes. After spending many years front of house on our reception, Tina now continues to play a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring the practice runs efficiently while supporting both the team and patient journey with her knowledge and insight.

Vicky is our newest member of the reception team and is often the first point of contact for patients at the practice. With a welcoming manner and strong organisational skills, she helps ensure the reception runs smoothly, supporting appointment bookings, patient enquiries, and day-to-day administration. Vicky is committed to providing a positive and reassuring experience for every patient from the moment they contact the practice.
