Our aim is to provide excellent treatment within a clean, comfortable, and friendly environment. We have been steadily refreshing and expanding our practice since 2014. The work is now complete, and we are proud to present our modern, fresh healthcare setting that you can see in the images below and will experience when visiting our premises.
Our expansion has allowed us to diversify the treatments we can provide to our patients, from routine dentistry to dental implants and facial aesthetics.
We have invested in the latest technology to enhance our diagnostic and treatment abilities, but with extra clinic space, we now have purpose-built settings to provide these additional services, from consultation suites and treatment coordination rooms to state-of-the-art implant suites and hygiene surgeries.
On the ground floor, you can find two dental surgeries, a reception area, a toilet, and a treatment co-ordination room. With all these facilities now available on the ground floor, our building is much more accessible to all levels of mobility than it has ever been! We have a wheelchair ramp at the rear door to help with access. The ground floor has been designed so there is no change of level once you are within it, which enables easy movement between clinical environments.
Qualified as a Dentist from the University of Sheffield. Philip has worked in many dental settings. He started in a busy multi surgery practice in Sheffield and became an Honorary Clinical Dental Tutor for the University of Sheffield, before helping to set up the dental aspect of a Medical Polyclinic in the Peak District. Philip has a particular interest in Aesthetic Dentistry and has completed a comprehensive Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry course in London. When developing his interests in aesthetics, he diversified his interests into Minimally Invasive Dentistry which include composite bonding and orthodontics (braces).
When Philip is not working at Oakland, he is working within the Orthodontic department at Blackpool Teaching hospital, helping to treat complex tooth alignment and bite problems. With the introduction of an Implantologist to our practice, Philip helps treatment plan dental implant cases. On completion of post graduate examinations, Philip is a Member of The Royal College of Surgeons of England. Philip has a friendly professional demeanour which helps patients feel comfortable and welcome at Oakland Family Dental Practice.
Qualified as a Dentist from the University of Sheffield with the prize for General Dental Practice. Louise has worked at Oakland Family Dental Practice since 2014 and runs an early morning clinic on Mondays which has greatly aided patient access outside of normal working hours. Louise has a particular interest in family dentistry and brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience which benefits all our patients and staff. Louise also has a particular interest in facial aesthetics and offers treatments such as wrinkle reduction and dermal fillers. Her approach to patient care and her ideas on how to keep improving the service we provide, have been invaluable.
